Celebrities have other talents than singing, dancing, and acting. They have also created iconic fragrances. It is amazing that celebrity fragrances have endured the test of time. Celebrities have had their best-selling fragrances for more than 30 years.
We were fortunate to be able test a lot of classics as well as some newbies that took us back in time. Some perfumes were a delight to our senses while others made us squirm. We’ve narrowed down the number of perfumes available to you by selecting the most popular celebrity perfumes.
Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker was launched in 2005. It smells absolutely lovely. This scent has notes of rosewood, mandarin and lavender. It also smells like a Manhattanite. This fragrance smells a lot more expensive than its price. Lovely has received many compliments from its users. We recommend that you put the cap in a plastic bag if you plan to take this bottle with you on your trip.
Glow by JLo is one of those timeless fragrances. It was first released in 2002. This celebrity-favorite perfume still sells well. It contains notes of grapefruit, orange blossom, and neroli. Lopez said that she wanted to recreate the scent of freshly washed skin 20 years ago. It is soapy, sweet and clean. This scent is not for those who don’t like the clean laundry smell. We love the scent but don’t like the packaging. It isn’t as expensive as other celebrity fragrances.
Rihanna once again nails another category of the cosmetics industry: perfume. The Fenty Perfume has a warm and spicy floral scent that will keep you on your toes. Top notes include magnolia and tangerine as well as musk and tangerine. This perfume is long-lasting, and it comes in an elegant yet simple bottle. The only problem is the price. It’s the most expensive perfume on our list at $140 per bottle.
The Ariana Grande Cloud perfume, one of the most loved celebrity scents, is an upbeat, youthful fragrance with spicy and warm notes. It is a unique pick because it has notes of vanilla orchid, creme de cocoa, and praline. We love the packaging and the bottle. This gourmand scent can be used as a dupe for Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Baccarat Rouge540 fragrance, which retails at $325 per bottle. We love the scent but it doesn’t last very long.
Dolly Parton’s Scent from Above is a sweet-smelling scent that may appeal to you if you like sweet fragrances. This scent has a fruity and floral profile with top notes of pear, mandarin, blackcurrant and pear. We love the pretty bottle (the little pink butterfly is adorable) and the reasonable price. However, the scent might not suit everyone. This pick is sweet and may be too sweet for those who prefer a musky or woody fragrance.
Katy Perry’s fruity selection includes top notes of plum, forest fruits, and bergamot. This is a fun, playful scent that’s not too old for you. The packaging has Queen of Hearts-esque vibes. However, the actual bottle is quite small. The bottle is not designed to stand upright, so it will need to be placed on its side when you display it in your perfume collection. We love the unique design and the low price for the product.
Bad guy Billie Eilish created his own fragrance in a beautiful bottle. Eilish is an amber gourmand scent with a sweet, honeyed aroma. It has a hint vanilla and a warm, subtle scent. Top notes include warm berries, mandarin, and sugared petals. This scent is vegan, cruelty-free and paraben free. The bottle is not very practical and can be difficult to hold. We also noticed that the scent doesn’t last as long as other fragrances.
Did you know that Paris Hilton has made 29 fragrances since 2004. Love Rush, her latest addition to her collection, was released in 2015 to go with her wedding day. This floral scent features top notes of Italian bergamot and mandarin zest. It also contains white apricot nectar. The packaging is beautiful and would look great on any woman’s dresser. It would also make a great beauty product for your wedding. Unfortunately, this scent is currently only available through her website.
Britney Spears’s iconic fragrance takes us back to the mid 2000s. We love it. «Luscious Fruits» was launched in 2005. It features fragrance notes of fresh flowers, warm woods, and luscious fruits. It does contain musk and fruity notes, but many people like to think that it smells like cotton candy. This pick has some cons, such as the poor-looking packaging and loose perfume caps. The scent also doesn’t last long on the skin.
White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor, first released in 1991. It is still the most popular celebrity perfume. The iconic bottle and the top notes of White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor are both legendary. They include aldehydes (bergamot), neroli, orange and lily. It’s not surprising that this perfume smells so old. This iconic scent is a favorite of ours, but it may not suit those who want a more contemporary, fresher, younger scent.
Everyone has their own fragrance preferences. You might like a different scent than we did. We are confident that Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker, our overall winner, can be enjoyed and appreciated by all perfume lovers. We love the fragrance, and the elegant glass bottles are a big plus. We love the youthful, fun fragrance, even though we have voted Ariana Grande Cloud the best-priced perfume.
You don’t have to choose the celebrity you admire. It is important to look at the ingredients list to help you find the right scent. You’re going to be disappointed if you choose a floral, sweet scent that is too musky or spicy for your fragrance preferences. Look for the notes that match your body chemistry. This list can be aided by words like fresh, woodsy and floral as well as sweet (or gourmand) words.
Although we normally advise against reading a book by its covers, in this instance, it is possible to judge a perfume by its packaging. It may be worth trying if you don’t like the design of the bottles but love the scent. But perfume bottles can be little displays pieces, so it is important to love the entire thing, not just the packaging.
