Another TikTok trend transforms a drugstore product into a must-have, essential beauty product. The TikTok effect is now available in haircare aisles for an easy, affordable way to give your eyebrows a glossy, laminated look that lasts all day. (And we don’t mean «all day» when we say that.)
These two drugstore gems are the Got2b Ultra Glued Styling Hair Gel ($5). This is a low-cost hair gel that TikTokers as well as beauty lovers are using to style and sculpt their hair. Got2b claims that the Ultra Glued Gel has a «no joke» hold. Spiking Glue ($8), a brand-name brow product, is also very popular. Because of its durability, you can see the bright yellow tube everywhere on TikTok. Both Got2b products are less expensive than brow gels and in-salon lamination services, at just $10.
Another Got2b product is out there, but it’s not available in the United States. Got2b Glued Brows and Edges Wand Gel ($14), is designed to give your brows and edges an extremely strong hold for up 72 hours (!!) It takes the best features of Ultra Glued or Spiking Glue gels and makes them more accessible and easier to use. Although the product is not available in your local superstore or drugstore, it is available on Amazon and will hopefully be on U.S. shelves soon.
TikTok’s Got2b gels are a long-standing favorite. They’re still very popular as more people try them. A Spiking Gel user Haley Pham uploaded a popular video in which she used it to make her «very stubborn brows» stand up.
Vi Luong was also a fan. Her video demonstrating the gel for Asian eyebrows currently has over 200,000 favorites. Carrie Shade describes the Glued Gel as her «ride-or-die» product. We are impressed by the results. TikToker Atifa created stunning brows with only the gel, a spoolie, and her fingers.
TikTokers started sharing videos on the product’s popularity. They shared information about the differences between Australian and U.S versions, as well as comparison videos using both the yellow and black tubes. You can find many uses for this product by doing a quick Google search on «got2 b glued gel hair gel», including punky spikes, Y2K-inspired flippy bobs, and wig installations. A drugstore legend is a favorite of ours!
The gel is used by even actor Chloe Grace Moretz in her beauty regimen. The black tube is featured in her Vogue Beauty Secrets video, where she uses it to tint her brows and gives them a full look.
You’ll need to be attentive to how your skin reacts to gels, and follow the directions carefully. However, Fiona Taylor, a Dallas makeup artist at Faces by Fiona, Texas says that this is one of the oldest tricks in beauty.
She says, «In today’s age, people use convenience as a source for creativity for beauty trends. You can even use craft glue sticks to create slick eyebrow hacks. I have even used hairspray to control my brows. It is made for hair, so I don’t see any problem with using it.»
Taylor suggests that you do some preparation before trying the Got2b gels. She suggests using an oil-dissolving alcohol or alcohol to clean the area. After drying, use your finger tip and dab some on the brows. Then, brush the hair upwards using a spoolie. Use a makeup brush to smoothen the brows in the desired place. Then, use a hair dryer with low heat on low to set the temperature.
