About Megan Fox and UN/DN Nail Polish Colllab

It was only a matter of time! Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have collaborated on a few nail polishes to support his UN/DNLAQR brand. Each one holds a special meaning for the actor.

Both Fox and MGK are big fans of nails. In the past, they have been seen tying their hands with their nails and wearing matching manicures when they announced their engagement. UN/DN was looking for a way to bring together the star-crossed lovers. We spoke exclusively to Fox about the inspiration behind the collection.

Fox shared that the collection was themed around «some of my favorite gemstones and crystals.» «I love jewel tones because they complement my natural color.» It also reflects Fox’s fascination with astrology and the natural world. «Winter is the time for all kinds of ‘hibernation,’ or turning inward. Fox explained that this is a season when animals and plants can both experience this. Fox explained that this is a waning time (withdrawing), not a waxing time (growing).

Fox is known to reach for crystals and stones in the same colors as her polishes during winter. These colors are reflective of stones that I find helpful during winter: lapis lazuli and malachite serve as grounding and protection stones. These stones protect against psychic attacks, which you get all the time being well-known. They also help to restore confidence. Fox also said that Ruby is a beautiful, deep red and necessary for maintaining passion during transits.

You can channel your Fox side. You can mix and match polishes or create custom looks using glitter or matte topcoats.

The Play with Fire Kit retails at $90 and includes six pieces. It features four Fox curated colors: Twin Flame, Past Life, Deep Breath, and Brutal Honesty. The Big Bang Kit, priced at $56, is a cool-toned combination of Past Life and Deep Breath as well as Brutal Honesty. «Colors can have a lot to do with our moods so I chose colors to help you feel calm and centered.» Clear. Fox explains that it is sexy.

The collection is all Fox but Machine Gun Kelly appears in some campaign imagery. His nails are painted with Past Life bright blue polish Past Life and Fox’s vibrant green. Fox claims that Brutal Honesty is her favourite shade of the collection. This is not because it matches her emerald-and-diamond engagement ring. She shared that «this color is very special.» It has strong sexual energy, which helps me feel connected to my heart and true desires.
