I used to be only concerned about the skin on my head for the longest time. I used to accumulate vitamin C serums, moisturizers and face masks while neglecting the skin below my neck. My mistake was eventually caught on the back of my eyes. I started to notice sun damage on my arms, legs, and neck, as well as fine lines and wrinkles on my chest and neck.

This was many years ago. Today, I have a bodycare regimen that I am proud to say I have mastered. It’s almost like I’m obsessed with it. I have a whole collection of oils, serums, and lotions that I use all year, but I especially love winter because my skin gets dry and flaky. I don’t care how much my skin is covered in layers of jackets, jeans, or thick sweaters. What matters to me is that my skin feels smooth, happy and hydrated. Scroll down to see my winter-ready favorite bodycare products.

The Best Body Lotions

Necessary The Body Lotion

Simply put, I love this body cream. It is moisturizing, non-greasy, and fragrance-free. It’s the ideal no-frills, winter body lotion. I keep at least one of these in my bathroom cabinet, and I order it whenever I run out.

Mutha Body Butter

The body butter costs almost $100. This might seem crazy, especially considering you can get a body lotion at a drugstore for less than $10, but it’s actually the most moisturizing product I have ever used. It’s easy to absorb into my skin, even after I shower. My skin feels soft and smooth the next morning. It has a healthy glow.

After shaving my legs, I always use this body butter. It’s moisturizing and soothes my skin.

Keep in mind that this body butter is thicker than standard body lotions and slightly more greasier. You might prefer lighter formulas if this is not your style. It is something I love.

Bioderma Atoderm Body Creme

This body lotion is made by Bioderma, a French pharmacy brand. It is smooth and silky, and my redness-prone skin feels very happy.

It glides easily over my skin and sinks in almost instantly. Its no-residue formulation makes it an easy product that I reach for whenever I need to show my body some love, but am short on time.

Luxe Unfiltered + Lux No 14 Conditioning Body cream

Erin Jahns, Who What Wear’s Beauty Director introduced me to this body lotion. After applying the lotion, she walked past me and asked about the comforting, warm scent. I assumed she was wearing a new perfume, so I was surprised to discover it was this body cream.

I am a scent-free person. This means that I avoid perfumes and body lotions. This one is different. This one is different. It has a woody, santal fragrance that is intoxicating but not too overbearing. This body lotion is sometimes used in place of perfume. It is so good.

La Roche Posay Lipikar Daily Repair Moisturizing Lotion for the Body

This lotion, also a French pharmacy staple from La Roche Posay, replenishes the skin’s essential oils. Translation? It increases the skin’s moisture barrier to keep hydration in place. This prevents dryness, flakiness, or that tight feeling in winter.

Sanitas Skincare Vitamin-C Body Lotion

Vitamin C is my obsession. It helps brighten your skin and fights free radicals.

There are a lot of vitamin C-rich products on the market, but it can be difficult to find body products that contain this ingredient. This is why I am so excited about this body lotion. It is stable, which means that it won’t degrade or become ineffective over time. It also has shea butter, Hyaluronic acid, squalane and other moisturizing ingredients.

Best Body Oils

Necessarie: Body oil

Although this body oil was released a while back, I just recently tried it. Given my love for the brand’s body cream, I was high on expectations. I wasn’t disappointed. This oil is true to form. It’s simple and effective in every way. It is silky and moisturizing, and I consider this another simple option for winter bodycare.

Mutha Body OIl

This body oil, just like the one I mentioned above, is also one of my favorite. It’s not cheap, but my skin feels soft and smooth. It has an orange tint which gives my winter skin a healthy glow.

One Love Organics Vitamin C Body Oil

It’s not surprising that bodycare products that contain vitamin C are a favorite of mine. This body oil is rich in antioxidants and vitamin-C esters that fight free radical damage and improve the appearance of sun damage. It also provides anti-aging benefits.

Versed Keep it Supple Moisturizing Oil

The dry oil is affordable and absorbs quickly into skin. It doesn’t leave any residue. The spray applicator makes it easy to reach hard-to-reach places like the back. It’s fast and easy to use. This is especially important for nights when I feel tired and lazy and it seems like moisturizing my whole body would be too difficult.

Curie Grapefruit Cassis Moisturizing Body OIl

The small bottle contains a mixture of moisturizing oils such as sunflower, grape, meadowfoam, and sesame seed oils. The grapefruit and cassis fragrances give it an energizing, uplifting and revitalizing effect. It is great to use in winter because my skin becomes duller and I feel less energetic.
