Are you looking for something new to watch this weekend, or are you already familiar with The Greatest Beer Run Ever? Let us introduce you to The Greatest Beer Run Ever, a war film starring ZacEfron.
There are many war movies. We have to admit that they are a guilty pleasure. Saving Private Ryan, Inglorious Baseds, and Schindler’s List are among the most beloved movies ever made.
We are a big fan of war films. Tomorrow’s release of The Greatest Beer Run Ever will be on Apple TV+. Don’t let its title fool you. It’s a war movie starring ZacEfron and Russell Crowe.
Based on a true story, Efron portrays John ‘Chickie’ Donohue, a man who leaves New York to bring beer to his childhood friends, who are fighting in Vietnam War.
Efron shines in this role, and you will laugh as well as cry during the more serious parts of the film. Crowe is also believable as Chickie’s photojournalist.
Veteran actor and Oscar nominee Bill Murray makes an appearance in The Greatest Beer Run Ever. He is also hilarious in true Murray style.
Peter Farrelly, the director and co-writer for The Greatest Beer Run Ever and his co-writers Brian Currie & Pete Jones should be commended for bringing respect to such a turbulent period in our history. Some of the funniest moments in the film remind me of Taika Waititi’s War World II film Jojo Rabbit.
The Greatest Beer Run Ever is at its core a funny, but profound film about friendships, loyalty, and politics. We recommend The Greatest Beer Run Ever as a great movie to watch this weekend.
