Britney Spears Shows Off a Dramatic New Haircut

Britney Spears has just made big changes to her hair, but she isn’t quite ready to share the entire look.

According to her Instagram post, the pop icon appears to have taken the plunge and got a shorter haircut. Spears posted a video in which she jokingly mentioned the new look while relaxing on the beach. Spears claimed she had done the chop, but it was not the right time to display her skills.

She wrote «I cut all of my hair off… I don’t want to show it yet,» and added a few of her signature Emojis at the end. She chose to use scissors and not the girl who was getting a haircut emoticon. We feel the same, B! You have to wait until the right time to get a new hairstyle, so Spears decided to give us a tease before we reveal the full details.

Spears is seen frolicking on the beach topless, her hair mostly hidden under a pink headband. Although she still wears her honey blonde hair, it is obvious that she has had her hair cut significantly. Spears’s hair is tucked under the hat and pulled back when she turns her back. It appears that the Glory singer has chosen a shorter haircut, either at the shoulder or slightly lower. She also removed her long hair extensions. This style is chic and still manageable. As she enjoys the sunshine, her only accessories are a pair of sunglasses and a wristwatch. (Though we can’t help notice that our queen looks a bit sunburnt, Britney, apply some sunscreen!)

Spears has made a few changes to her hairstyles in the past. She cut her hair to a shoulder-length, layered bob in late 2020. This was around the time she got engaged to Sam Asghari. However, the short cut didn’t last very long. Brit quickly returned to her favorite extensions but she did change to purple because she was bored. (Relatable.) The Princess of Pop stayed true to her golden locks on her wedding day. But, it seems that she has been yearning for something different.
