The highly anticipated Savage X Fenty Vol. Amazon Prime is now available. This show, which was aired in time for fall fashion weeks, gives us a glimpse at some of the trends that we can expect to see in the next few months of 2022-2023. Vogue spoke with Rihanna, the show’s executive producer, and Savage x Fenty creative director. She said that the location was the inspiration for the show. The film was shot at Los Angeles’ Westin Bonaventure Hotel, which has an industrial architecture that is reminiscent of the 1970s vision for the future.
The Savage X Fenty Show Vol. The show’s creative vision and fashion were both current in Vol. 3. It emphasized the duality of being both indoors and out, much like what we’ve been doing these past months. We break down the top 2022 trends that were spotted at the show.
It’s not unreasonable to have fun with lingerie and sleepwear after spending so much time indoors. The brighter the better. Savage x Fenty’s 2014 show featured all colors of rainbow. Savage X Fenty Vol 3 featured shades of neon, mainly yellow and orange, as well as blue.
Neon lingerie is a great place to start if you want to incorporate highlighter colors into your wardrobe. The show featured a lot of bright pink pieces, from satin pants to mesh bodysuits. The color was a big hit in Spring/Summer 2022 and will be here for years to come.
Pantone’s 2023 color trends were released earlier this week. They included 10 shades that range from bright pink to yellow, and even orange. This echoes the return to color block this year. Boldness has never been more fashionable.
Like months spent in the house, bright colors are back. People have predicted that this decade would bring about a second roaring 20s. Over-the-top fashion is just one reason.
Savage X Fenty’s third installment was full of silver, blue and sparkling fabrics. Pleated Lame was inspired by the 1970s and has a retro-futuristic feel that is reminiscent of the early 2000s Y2K. The fusion of two decades is best illustrated by silver sets and micro slips with chain. Disco Metallics and Shining Star sets from the collection were also a tribute to party style. They featured glittery and metallic designs as well as mesh.
The Leather Tease collection was inspired by the 2000s pop-punk style. Many of the items feature a beautiful hunter green color, and are made with marry vinyl and mesh. This is a nod to the golden age of the 1980s. This collection is high-end and glamorous, with accessories such as harnesses or thigh-high vinyl stockings.
Savage X Fenty Vol. 3 has brought back animal prints through its Cold-Hearted Snake line. The set features strong lines that follow the body’s natural curves and accents in blacks, browns and reds.
Many items mix fabrics and prints, including lace, silk, mesh and snakeskin. Others emphasize cutout designs like teddies or a lace bralette with asymmetrical lace. This collection was modeled by Rihanna, Erykahbadu, and Soo Joo Park during the show, to great fanfare.
Many of the new Savage x Fenty pieces can be worn every day. (Yes, really!) Normani’s bodysuit made of yellow neon and black mesh, which she wore during «Wild Side», could easily be worn at a party or out on the streets. The collection was even worn by Vanessa Hudgens during Savage x Fenty’s official red carpet event. The outfit was posted on Instagram by Vanessa Hudgens, who wore dark green pajama pants and a matching shirt. I’m not one of them.
