Prince Harry has once again spoken out against the royals. He implied that their famous motto of «never complaint, never explain» was not followed. The Palace is responsible for endless leaks that have painted Meghan Markle and Harry as «villains», but Harry still speaks about wanting his father back.
In a new interview, Prince Harry suggested that the royals did the hard work to keep Meghan Markle and him as «villains.» He was promoting his book.
Harry suggests that the stories and leaks were sourced directly from his family. However, Harry also suggested that they «shown absolutely no willingness» to reconcile.
Prince Harry’s memoir Spare is due out next Tuesday (January 10th), which means that the press tour is ramping up for the book.
Two high-profile interviews will be conducted by the Duke of Sussex ahead of the book’s launch. Harry, who has repeatedly attacked the media, including in his Netflix Docuseries. Harry will be accompanied by Tom Bradby, a UK news anchor.
Harry has been friends with Tom Bradby for almost two decades. The news reporter was involved in stories about Meghan’s mental health, and she also interviewed the couple for a documentary on their 2019 Africa tour. This interview came months before the couple announced their decision not to continue their life as working royals.
Harry’s interview today with Tom Bradby was recorded in California. It is clear that Harry insists that «it never had to be this» — referring to the bitter feud between his family and him.
He then suggests that the root cause of the problem is the «leaking and the planting of stories to be published to the media», something he has previously discussed in the Netflix series.
Harry says he wants a family and not an institution.
Harry explains why he thinks the family planted stories about Meghan. They have shown no desire to reconcile. I’d like to see my father again. I’d like to see my brother again.»
Harry will interview Anderson Cooper in his second interview before his book launch.
He is seen in a trailer for the interview dismissing the notion that the royals are following their well-known motto of «never complain. Never explain.»
In the clip, he is seen saying, «Every time I tried it privately, there were briefings, leakings, and planting of stories against my wife and me.» Although the family motto is «never complain, never answer», it’s merely a slogan.
They will have a conversation or feed a correspondent and the correspondent will literally be given information and then write the story. At the end of the story, they will mention that they reached out to Buckingham Palace to comment. The whole story is Buckingham Palace commenting.
«So, when we’re being told over the past six years that ‘we can’t make a statement out in order to protect you’ but you do it for others, there’s a point where silence is betrayal.»
On Sunday Anderson Cooper and Harry will be seated in the US. Although it is not confirmed, it is believed that his interview from the UK will air on Sunday, January 8.
