Ciara, share your secret to highly dimensional locs

Let’s go back in time -to Ciara style, with her protective hairstyle that she seems to always reach for during major events. How do you welcome a baby into this world? It’s post-baby locs. Ciara gave birth to her daughter Sienna in 2017. After that, her hairdresser Cesar Ramirez styled her hair with long blonde and brown dreadlocks. After celebrating her 25th birthday, Ciara took to Instagram on October 26 to express gratitude to all those who had sent her love and birthday wishes.

Two things. First, I actually fell to the ground when my jaw hit the ground when I saw her caramel-bronde side-swept locs fall along one side. The second is the beauty of her skin in its natural state, without makeup (or possibly no-makeup makeup). The look was created by Loc artist Bonita rebel, who colored Ciara’s dimensional locs with selected bleach-blonde hair strands that were interwoven throughout her body. Rebel also gave the locs curly ends and infinite length.

Rebel shared on her Instagram that the particular combination of blonde and brunette she created for the singer was something she learned while working with Cici.

Fun fact: This look was created by Ciara and me. Before meeting her, I had never done color before and she forced me to step outside of my comfort zone. She wrote, «It’s perfection a year later.»

Each hairstyle Ciara showcases on Instagram reflects her personality. On October 19, she gave the wolf cut another go with a truly ’70s-style outfit, down to the metallic slouch shoes she wore that day. She’s now having the «best feeling turning 21», with a peace sign and a big smile.
